Reviews

“I particularly recommend the Sweet Corn Tots and the Curly Fries.”
“The rating suffers a bit from the fact that I was at Beer Bistro first, and really loved it.”
“The "crossroads" where blues musicians sell their soul to the devil for unparalleled talent is just a myth.”
Pros
  • The manager was very nice and said we could sit wherever we wanted...
  • But the food here is some of the best bar food I've ever had...
  • The wings are some of the best I've ever had (naked/I breaded for me) and the spicy BBQ sauce is so good I dip everything else I order in it too...
  • Drinks are good and decently prices, with great specials too...
  • This place has great daily specials, outdoor seating for when Chicago finally gets some sun, and plenty of TVs for all the big games!
Cons
  • The food isn't bad and the drinks are decently priced as well...
  • ) Belly up to the bar and you'll get great service and a great view- Of the nice "Crossroads" mural, of blues musicians goin' down to the crossroads with a hell hound on their trail...
  • I was looking forward to kicking back with a good friend and instead I find myself terribly vexed...
  • However, the servers put up with A LOT of really bad drunks and I respect how nicely they handle these folks...
  • it got so bad that I politely asked the bouncer to please do something about it...
Service & Staff
  • The Crossroads is a spacious, non-dumpy place that has well mannered employees and serves bar eats quite well...
  • I told the waitress but she just said, "oh" and walked away...
  • They also have a shuttle service to most united center events!
  • The service is great!
  • We had a private party here and nobody had to wait for a drink...
Food & Drinks
  • They do have a decent beer and drink list and is reasonably priced...
  • The burgers are mouthwatering, the po boys are delicious, the sammiches are huge, the Mac and cheese is heaven in a bowl!
  • Eat, drink, watch sports and be merry...
  • Pat's day and the place was packed, so just had a couple of beers...
  • Don't ever order food here...
  • I can't see the place being known for great food...
  • Great menu, drinks, and quality service...
Atmosphere
  • The decor is homey with a fireplace and tons of tvs and big open windows for when Chicago isn't negative degrees outside...
  • The atmosphere is meh...
  • Great atmosphere!
  • Great to watch a game, pre game, or a cool date because the atmosphere is versatile...
Prices
  • If you're looking for cheap drinks, a super chill and unpopulated environment, go here...
  • Overall, the bathrooms were barely a step up from a port-a-potty and the food was "meh" (and overpriced for what it was) but it's just the right place if you're going out with the attitude, "meh, I just want to drink at a place other than my house...
  • It said on that it was $2 for a quarter pound burger but is was $6 for any half pound specialty burger...
  • Went on monday for the Hawks, specials online said $4 oberon, and half off chicken wings...
Summary
  • Everything I've had here is great: Caesar Salad (Hands down the best Caesar dressing in the world) with Cajun Chicken, Grilled chicken sandwiches (Provolone and bacon, thanks!
  • for recommending this place for several of our beer and bro meetups...
  • )3) The waitress comes around finally after about 15 minutes and asks what we want...
  • 7) She's gone trying to take care of him so long that my wife finally goes inside to pay but waitress is coming out to hopefully give us our check...
  • Our server was very quick to bring us any little thing we needed, and even though CrossRoads has only been open a few weeks, she was very confident about her menu recommendations...
