“The Honey Whole Wheat Bread at Breadsmith is fantastic, as is the challah.”
“Extra bonus: if you buy 12 loaves of bread, you get the 13th free.”
“I was out on a run one Sunday morning and saw this little bakery just a few blocks from my apartment.”
  • Everyday they have a staple of breads they bake - such as sourdough, white, wheat, honey wheat, multigrain, asiago bread sticks but they also have specialty breads like vanilla egg challah (the best to make french toast!
  • Plus its always a delight to talk to the people that work there, they are always nice and have never rushed me when I can't make up my mind about which bread to purchase...
  • I forgot how great this place is and I can't believe there are only 5 reviews...
  • I got a great cup of coffee and some kind of grainy bread with dried fruit and it was a great way to start the day...
  • It's a great place to pick up your bread for the week or to pick up a tasty snack to take with you as you stroll through Old Town...
Service & Staff
  • I haven't tried any of the sweets/treats because they were sold out by the time I made it to the bakery, but I will have to drag myself out of bed to treat myself to a delcious breakfast some morning...
  • Breadsmith knows what they are doing - from fresh breads to awesome customer service - they are one of, if not, my favorite local place to shop...
  • I also picked up Challah for dinner and I can't wait to eat it...
  • The bread is delicious , the staff friendly , and the prices are very reasonable ($2,45 for a wonderful loaf of french bread that I really can't get enough of)...
  • And although, waiting in line, is a great time for my 1yr old to campaign for babymayor of the neighborhood, I'd rather just make one stop...
Food & Drinks
  • Cheap coffee?
  • I regularly go Sunday mornings to grab a loaf of my favorite bread (the honey oat bread), a scone or other yummy treat, and a cup of coffee...
  • are all handmade and baked in the morning so it makes for some delicious and *fresh* breads!
  • Note: It's cash only, so make sure you have enough to buy all the delicious good s that get you drooling and starry-eyed...
  • Perhaps that is why he is so sweet ;)The breadsmith does not make anything that isn't totally mouthwatering and delicious !
  • The Foccia is a must as are the asaigo cheese bread sticks which are like huge and so tasty ...
  • It's generally about $7,50...
  • I bought two loaves of bread for only $6,00...
  • I pay that much at the grocery store for bread that has been sitting out for days!
  • Sidenote: It's cash-only, so be sure to come prepared but don't worry as I stated above it's cheap, cheap, cheap!
  • I have also asked the owner advice on what breads to use with certain recipes, and his recommend ation is always spot on (the vanilla egg challah was his recommend ation for french toast!
